Christmas Down Under

An independently financed holiday film, Christmas Down Under was filmed at some of Sydney’s most famous tourist destinations, including Bondi Beach and Circular Quay.

Another excellent action adventure entertainment film directed by my friend and famous Hollywood director Jesse V. Johnson had a successful release in the U.S. theaters on November 5th 2021.

I take on the role of Major Maitland, a sadistic bad ass only interested in getting the Nazi gold.

“Typical of many Johnson films, the best performance is given by Louis Mandylor who is terrific as the battle-worn Major Maitland. His character has clearly seen too much and just wants a way out. Maitland does some despicable things to Marie during the course of the film but Mandylor makes his character somewhat relatable with him seemingly recognizing he is doing wrong but knows there’s no turning back. Sports endeavors were a major part of my youth life. During my football career, I was also boxing in Melbourne, winning 14 fights with 4 losses. I was in America for a boxing match when the opportunity to audition for a role in “Necessary Roughness” presented itself. Champions Movie

William Rockman (Louis Mandylor) is a champion “Terminal Combat” fighter who retired from the sport after accidentally killing a young man while training. Five years after his retirement, Terminal Combat has been banned by the government and has gone underground.

The “new” Terminal Combat is just that; one combatant in each match usually does not live to tell about the experience.

Rockman’s younger brother is killed in one of the underground matches by his old rival, the King (Ken Shamrock.) Rockman then enters the tournament to exact revenge on the King but learns the King and his wife, Daria, have been enslaved by Max Brito, the tournament’s greedy promoter (Danny Trejo).
