A Friends T.V. Show Revelation….Getting The Role of Carl & More
A Friends TV Show reunion revelation. It was 4:30 pm Friday afternoon there in Hollywood, California. My week was done, friends were visiting, and the party had just begun for the weekend. Then, the telephone rang. Yes, Louis here, I answered. My manager is on the line and says to me, “You got to go NOW! To Forest Lawn, they’re casting Joey’s twin for Friends and you’re one of four guys they want.” I was ecstatic!
So I get there and walked into a room where there we were five other actors. Casting asked for all to stay, but only one was to go straight to the set. I was one asked to stay and off to the stage we went!
All are a wonderful group of people and I’m glad it was not cast differently! I cherish the time spent with these Friends and feel truly blessed to have had a role on the show.
Another Revelation….
Kevin Bright told me after the show, “Louis we never thought we would find someone dumber than Joey! Well done! We have a 7 episode arch we’re going with, where Joey books a show and you become his stand in and destroy his life?” Alas, Kevin called me that Monday and said, “Louis we regret to inform you that Bruce Wills became available so we’re going to go with that story arch.”
